Rochester, NY Pop-Up Wedding at Kin Event Space | Kate & Carter
Kate & Carter will always hold a special place in our hearts here at Curated Love. Not only were they the first couple that we executed a wedding for, but they also participated in a news segment for Curated Love and getting married in a pandemic… not to mention how sweet they are!
Kate & Carter were a couple affected by the first wave of the pandemic. They initially planned a large scale wedding for the summer of 2020 on their own. Once that was no longer an option, they reached out to us to sign up for our Dusky Skies Pop-Up Wedding. Kate was starting her PhD in Astrophysics in the fall of 2020 and did not want to wait to get married because of the effort and time needed to begin graduate school, and who could blame her!
We hosted their Pop-Up Wedding at Kin Event Space, which was beyond perfect for their intimate guest count. The black exterior also served as a stunning backdrop for wedding portraits after the ceremony. Rockcastle Florist knocked the Dusky Skies inspiration out of the park with beautiful shades of reds, oranges, and blues. It was also the first time we opted for the pocket boutonniere instead of the traditional pin boutonniere – a Curated Love favorite. The cake and cupcakes from Joelle Eats Cake were both effortless and impactful. Kate & Carter ended their event with a large felt ball confetti send off, beautifully captured by Julia Merrell of Stamp & Co.
